In recent years the term healthy living has been used erroneously to describe isolated parts of a lifestyle that needs improvement. Health can be defined as physical, mental, and social wellbeing, and as a resource for living a full life. A heart that is healthy and well taken care off is more able to cope with demands and stress that is put on the body. Fortunately it is a new era and we now know which fats to not only cut out – but what we need to include in our diets for better health, free of premature aging and degenerative disease.
Even literate, well-educated people sometimes have misguided views about what makes or keeps them healthy, often believing that regular daily exercise, regular bowel movements, or a specific dietary regime will alone suffice to preserve their good health.
